    Good April Fool's Day prank

    Tuesday, April 1, 2008, 06:22 AM [General]

Here's an email I received this morning (1st April) which you might enjoy! Best wishes from Ireland, Helen

    Dear Helen:

Rumors of a stunning development have reached Pnosis.  The world's great pixel factory, known by its code name RMF, upon whose output the entire Internet depends, has been taken over by two evil hypnotists.

All pixel manufacturing has ceased.  World pixel stockpiles are dwindling to crisis levels.  The government has imposed a news blackout in an effort to avert massive public panic.  A Pnosis Exclusive!  But do not panic (yet).

The Evil Hypnotists reportedly have placed the entire workforce in an "Ultra-Height" trance and are holding the world pixel supply hostage in return for "A Billion Trillion Dollars."  Pnosis satellite cameras reveal a suspicious quiet settling on the Omnihypnosis complex in Deland, Florida.  And ... neither Jerry Kein nor Bob Brenner have been seen in public for the past week.  Obviously, suspicions arise.

Pnosis's secret agents have provided this exclusive photograph of the ultra-secret RMF facility taken by Pnosis's Eye In The Sky.

Pnosis counterinsurgency specialists have infiltrated the RMF plant.  Here is a cell-phone photo of the inside of the facility confirming a complete work stoppage.

According to the authoritative Wikipedia ,

A pixel (short for picture element, using the common abbreviation "pix" for "pictures") is a single point in a graphic image. . . . (SEMANTICS. A point has no information except coords. A pixel however will occupy a definable area of the screen. Suggest words to the effect; ...pixel is the smallest area of the screen addressable by the rastering/timing controls and will contain a specifiable number of image forming elements (i.e. R.G.B. phospher dots in/on a CRT screen).... ***.  Each such information element is not really a dot, nor a square, but an abstract sample. With care, pixels in an image can be reproduced at any size without the appearance of visible dots or squares; but in many contexts, they are reproduced as dots or squares and can be visibly distinct when not fine enough. The intensity of each pixel is variable; in color systems, each pixel has typically three or four dimensions of variability such as red, green, and blue, or cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.

Pnosis regrets to inform its readers that a world pixel shortage, spiking pixel prices on the Chicago Comex to astronomical levels, is far more dangerous than the widely reported robbery-by-hypnosis of an Italian grocery store, or even $100 bbl oil, or even the subprime crisis.  But do not panic Pnosis even now is flying in teams of specialists, the Pnosis crack team of ninja counter-hypnotists.  They are, even now, are preparing to "wake up" the hypnotized pixel makers and return world pixel supplies to normal.

Meanwhile, if your computer screen goes dark, we control your set.  Do not adjust the horizontal.  Do not adjust the vertical.

As soon as Pnosis -- heroically -- has restored the world Pixel supply, Pnosis's subscribers to the free weekly EnTrance Me Note will be the first, and perhaps only ones, to know the true dramatic story behind this looming crisis.

    Courage!

    Wonderful support with client questions

    Thursday, August 16, 2007, 10:42 AM [General]

Wow - now I really appreciate how useful ourhypnospace.com can be. I posted a question on to the Ask Cal group last week, about some difficulties I was having with a client using 5-path.

Not only did Cal take the time to answer the question on the group here, but he and Celeste also answered the question in much grater detail on the latest video podcasts on www.CalBanyan.com, podcasts #40 and #41.

I'm glad to report that after using the advice from Cal and Celeste I was able to successfully work with my client despite her previously having "too much emotion for the affect bridge" (the title of the podcasts). We had a wonderful session using age regression and the informed child technique, which resulted in my client feeling much happier with herself and having a greater insight as to the roots of her problems and how they have affected her life.

It's wonderful to have such support from hypnotherapists on the other side of the big pond!

Again, my sincere thanks to Cal and Celeste,

    Best wishes from Ireland, Helen

Photo report of Tunisia hypnosis training

    Thursday, June 21, 2007, 12:02 PM [General]

I've made some great new friends here already, it really makes the world seem like a small place and my friends across the Atlantic are just "across the big pond"!

Those of you with an interest in transpersonal (spiritual) hypnosis or past-life regaression might like to have a look at a photo report on last year's destination training in Tunisia with Dan Cleary from Florida, who trained with Leo Balduc.

    www.hypnotherapyireland.net/tunisia/index.html

It was a wonderful week - combining 5 days of hypnosis training with a week in the sun and at an all-inclusive Hotel, in the company of open-minded people.

This year, in April 2007, the respected author and hypnotherapist Roy Hunter, who has his own page here on ourhypnospace.com, was the main speaker, along with Jane Bannister from the UK.

    Best wishes from Ireland,

    Helen

    Hello from Ireland

    Saturday, June 16, 2007, 02:36 PM [General]

Hello from Ireland to all you fellow hypnotherapists!

My name is Helen Ryle and I'm in part-time practice in County Kerry in Ireland. I work with clients using a combination of hypnotherapy and meridian therapies such as EFT and Emotrance. I've only been in practice a little over a year and am thoroughly enjoying the joys and challenges of the work. I'm also working on my website, www.hypnotherapyireland.net. It's not finished yet but please stop by and let me know what you think of it so far.

I recently purchased Cal's 5-Path videos and hope to become a qualified 5-pather when I've watched and digested all the material and submitted the exam. I really like the way the sessions path is so well structured. My own hypnotherapy training from Joe Keaney (www.hypnosiseire.com) here in Ireland was very comprehensive and covered most if not all of the techniques which Cal teaches in 5-Path, and it's great to be able to add more structure and extra techniques to my therapeutic toolbox. Are there any other 5-Pathers in Ireland, I wonder?

This new hypnospace website will be a very useful resource for hypnotherapists to support each other with advice and also swap techniques and scripts, or simply to chat and get to know each other better.

Congrats to Cal on such a great idea!

    Best wishes from Ireland, Helen
